An Overall Review Of One Of The Best Films: Fight Club

Greetings, everyone, and welcome back to another post! This week in our ICT course, we were assigned to produce a collaborative text with three group members. For this task, I paired up with Ahmet Alper Aydoğdu and Abdalhamed Harrak (I recommend you visit their blogs as well!).

The Detailed Description Of The Task:

Among the other tasks, we chose to collaboratively write a film review because we wanted to explore a different subject area and produce something. Therefore, writing a film review sounded very appealing to me. We decided to review "Fight Club" for our film because it was a no-brainer. It is one of our favorite films of all time, with many details we could delve into. At the end of this post you can find our film review with feedback from another group in our department.

Our Experience About The Task:

We were required to use Google Docs to write our review for our task. As university students, we already had collaborative writing assignments in the past; therefore, using the tool was straightforward. I think it is one of the best, if not the best, collaborative writing tools on the web because of its ease of access and simple user interface. I only have one small problem with Google Docs, and that is the hardship of adding pictures and organizing them in the documents, which I find pretty clunky. As for our task procedure, we did not have any difficulties dividing the assignment into parts because we were already experienced with such assignments.

Some Concluding Marks:

Overall, I quite enjoyed the whole process. I find myself more responsible and more confident with what I write, when I write collaboratively. Collaborative writing can create oppurtunities for giving and receiving peer feedback and for advancing one's cooperative skills. I also crave to hear about your opinions about our film review and collaborative writing in general. Feel free to share you opinions in the comments section down below. I hope you have a wonderful day, and stay tuned for my posts. Until next time!
