Farewell Friends…

Greetings everyone, this will be the last post of this blog because the semester has finished. When I look back, I can see a lot of improvements about my digital literacy and material creation skills. This blog was created for my ICT course and I continued to use it for my new course “Current Issues In Education.” This post will be about the reflection of the course.

My Opinions About The Course:

Well, for starters, this course emphasizes the technology usage in language classrooms, which is always a strength in my book. Overall, there were not any weaknesses in the course. However, the example tools in the instructions could be more suitable for university students as most of them were blocked by a pay wall.

I find this course to be a easy one because I am always interested in technology. The only difficulty I have found is the material design only because it takes a lot of time.

My most favorite task was flipped classroom assignment. Although that task was the hardest, I find it more enjoyable because of the times I had with my pair during the recording process. My least favorite task was AI-based material design not because I don’t like it but because the other tasks were much more interesting.

For improvements, I would suggest better recommended tools as most of them were not accessible.

To the new students who will take this course next year I want to tell you this: Be patient, because developing such digital skills requires time and effort. Therefore, don’t give up! Don’t be scared to be creative. When you first start, you will probably be overwhelmed just as I was. However, as you move on you will discover how much more capable you are than as you have thought.

This course changed my opinions about the language classrooms. I find technology usage as an obligation for our time and age in language classrooms. Moreover, I find myself more capable of creating materials as I have created many of them!

Concluding Marks:

Well, this is the end. I hope you enjoyed my works just as I did. You can use my materials however you like in your language classrooms, just let me know when you do so. And as for me, I will be on my way to graduate from my university, and to spread valuable information to people for the sake of education. I hope you have a wonderful day!
